SPLIT DAY INFORMATION
Split-day is participating in additional courses at other public or private instructional institutions. These additional split-day course offerings are as follows and apply to the noted grade levels:
– Taking courses not currently provided at COIL at a student’s school of residence within the Fremont Unified School District (grades 7-12). Based on space availability.
– Participating in Regional Occupational Programs (ROP) through the Mission Valley ROP (MVROP) or at their local high school upon space availability (grades 9-12)
– Taking courses at a local community college (grades 9-12)
– Taking courses through a privately funded online course provider (grades 7-12)
Each of the above options has unique requirements for participation and/or cost reimbursement (where applicable). Students are limited to the number of overall split-day courses they can participate in in any given semester. Further, a student must maintain full-time enrollment status at COIL at all times, regardless of the number of courses or credits being taken through split-day. Students are limited to a maximum of 1 split-day course unless otherwise authorized by the COIL Executive Director.
